1、 Principle of industrial EDI ultra pure water equipment

1. After entering EDI module, RO produced water is evenly distributed to fresh water chamber.

2. Trace ions not removed by RO membrane are adsorbed on the membrane surface by ion exchange resin in fresh water chamber.

3. The direct current is applied to the electrodes at both ends of EDI module to drive the cation and anion in fresh water chamber to migrate to the corresponding electrode in concentrated water chamber, so as to produce high purity water.

4. Under the action of electric field, water molecules are ionized into H + and oh -, and the ion exchange resin is regenerated continuously.

2、 Operation method of industrial EDI ultra pure water equipment

1. When EDI ultra pure water equipment breaks down, please close the tap water inlet valve immediately and cut off the water inlet of the water purifier. Do not disassemble it by yourself.

2. In the case of water cut-off, please turn on the sewage tap to drain the sediment and rust in the water pipe, and then turn on the purification tap to use the purified water.

3. The total water yield of industrial EDI ultra pure water equipment is related to the influent water quality. If the influent water quality of industrial EDI ultra pure water equipment is better, the total water yield will increase. Otherwise, if the influent water quality is poor, the total water yield will decrease, and the service life of the corresponding filter element will be slightly shorter.

4. If the industrial EDI ultra pure water equipment is not used for more than three days, the industrial EDI ultra pure water equipment shall be flushed for 2-5 minutes repeatedly when it is used again until the water in the industrial EDI ultra pure water equipment is drained.

5. With the long-term use of industrial EDI ultra pure water equipment, its water yield will gradually decline, but the water quality is still qualified, so it can be used safely.

6. Keep the ultrafiltration membrane filter element wet after use. If the filter element of ultrafiltration membrane is dried, the water yield will drop sharply and cannot be recovered.

7. The compatibility between reagents and membrane materials should be considered. For example, coagulant, coagulant aid, bactericide, reducing agent and scale inhibitor are often used simultaneously in RO system. As the limbs in natural water are generally negatively charged, cationic coagulants with positive charges are usually used.
